Robert Hantman

With almost forty years of experience as a trial attorney, Robert Hantman is the founding partner of the Firm. Mr. Hantman specializes in civil-commercial – including FINRA and SEC matters – and selective criminal litigation. He has served as counsel to both public and private companies and was outside counsel to the Colombian Consulate for over 14 years.

On a selective basis he has also been involved in matrimonial, defamation, negligence and probate litigation, and Hague Convention Cases involving complex and diverse issues and works in crisis management situations with public

relation firms, lobbyists, and former specials agents of the FBI, DEA and CIA along with former NAVY SEALs, Special Forces and Delta team members when necessary.

Well versed in intellectual property, corporate law, entertainment, fashion law and contract law, Roberts’s years of litigation experience and hands – on experience make him an invaluable asset in litigation or as an advisor.

Ms. Garcia focuses in private equity, corporate and immigration law. She has vast experience in the legal and financial fields. Before re-joining Hantman & Associates Ms. Garcia was a Vice President at Panamerican Capital Partners, which provides private equity investing and investment banking services in the infrastructure and energy fields. She was mainly involved in the management of their international infrastructure finance funds. From 2002 to 2005, Ms. García practiced law in New York with our firm, working in acquisitions, negotiations, due diligence and providing counsel on international law issues and immigration law to the Colombian Consulate. From 1998 to 2002, Ms. García was the Consul for Legal Affairs at the Colombian Consulate in New York. Before moving to New York, she practiced law in Bogota, Colombia.

Ms. García received an MBA from the Yale School of Management, an LLM from Fordham Law School, and a LLB from Universidad del Rosario. She is admitted to practice law in New York State and the Republic of Colombia.

Shannon Harvey, Esq., a Pennsylvania native, is the principal attorney of the Miami-based Law Offices of Shannon Harvey, P.A., established in 2007. Ms. Harvey is licensed in New York and Florida. She practices probate, guardianship, intellectual property, entertainment law, and contract litigation. She serves as a distinguished panelist on various programs for the American Bar Association.

Ms. Harvey’s office has had the honor of serving as Private Counsel for the United States Department of Justice, 2011-2014, representing the U.S. as Plaintiff in a large volume of breach

of contract lawsuits. Prior to opening her own law practice in 2007, Shannon held the position of In-House Counsel to a large nursing home management company. Katherine Kleyman

Katherine Kleyman is a Law Clerk at Hantman & Associates. She handles civil litigation matters involving employment law, commercial law, family law, and employment law.

After graduating from Magna Cum Laude from Fordham University with a degree in Political Science, she earned her Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law in 2020.

While at Law School, Katherine served as the Treasurer for the Jewish Law Students Association (JLSA) and the Event Chair for the Anti-Trafficking Legal Advocacy Society (ATLAS). In addition, she worked with the Courtroom Advocates Project, assisting domestic violence victims seeking protective orders in the New York City Family Courts. Ms. Kleyman also spent a semester studying in Belfast, Ireland and was a Judicial Extern for the Lord Chief Justice Office in Belfast, Ireland.

Nyall Cook has a background focusing on entertainment and media law, international law, and corporate and business law. Nyall graduated from University of Colorado Boulder in 2015 where he received a Bachelors in Operations Management, a minor in Mandarin Chinese, and a Global Business Certificate. Thereafter he attended Brooklyn Law School where he was awarded a position as the Associate Managing Editor of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law, received a “CALI Excellence for the Future Award” in Entertainment; the Charles and Jane Ortner Prize for Achievement in Entertainment Law;

the Richardson Merit Scholarship; the Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship; the Judge William C. Thompson ’54 Scholarship: Endowed Scholar; and the Jeffrey E. Rockwell Memorial Prize [awarded for the highest grade in the course of International Law]. Nyall Cook also served as the Vice President of the Brooklyn Entertainment and Sports Law Society and spent a semester studying comparative law in Beijing, China at the University of International Business and Economics (对外经济贸易大学).
